ROAD TO SUCCESS

BACHELORS IN NURSING
I am currently enrolled in Old Dominion's Pre-licensure BSN program with a minor in Health and Wellness. I am Graduating in May 2019 with a GPA of 3.57. Upon graduation I plan to work in a hospital setting, though I am unsure what niche best suits me. I have an interest in Orthopedics, Oncology, Acute Care Surgery, and Surgical Intensive Care, though I do plan to end up working in a critical care setting.

CERTIFIED REGISTERED NURSE ANESTHETIST
After gaining experience in critical care I plan to return to school to get my DNP with specialization in nursing anesthesia. I enjoy the surgical setting and I am fascinated by the medicine that is anesthesia. I have had experience shadowing a CRNA, and I fell in love with the profession even more than I thought possible. I feel that returning to school and becoming a CRNA allows me the best opportunity to advance my career.

LIFE-LONG LEARNING
I have had a passion for learning as long as I can remember. To me learning never ends, and there is always a way for me to improve.
No matter where I end up in my goals, I know that there cannot be nursing without lifelong learning.
